What are good gifts to give to business in Taiwan? Generally speaking, if a foreigner wishes to bring a gift to a Taiwanese people, something from their hometown would be nice. The gifts doesn't need to be elaborate or expensive. It is only a token of politeness. Something like a small home decoration or local specialty food would be a nice gift. I would bring something local like good Chinese tea, Oolong tea for instance. Something small that it can be carried easily in the luggest without taking up too much space. Or, if you knew what the receiver well, you can buy somethig that he would like or need. 2. What other greetings do you know about? The most common way of greeting would be the same old "how are you?", "how have you been?" If you know the person for quite some time, then you may ask something that is more specific and in depth, like "how is your family?", "how is work treating you?". In a more casual setting, you may also say, "how is life treating ya?" or "what is up!" or "what's new?" 2. What other greetings do you know about? People in Taiwan believes that being puntual is very important and necessary and would consider being late as very rude and disrespectful. 4. Do you know that in what countries do people bow? Shake hands? Give each other business cards? From what I know, Japanese people have a habit of bowing, some Taiwanese too. Most of the western area will shake hands and exchange name cards in business setting. 5. Is gift-giving in Taiwan similar to any other countries you know? Gift giving is a common gesture performed throughout different regions. 6. I would suggest that if they have something that they do not eat, for instance, spicy food or intestines, they say it earlier. Sometimes it may be percieved as rude if they do not eat the food that the host offered. To avoid trouble, it is probably better to say it before hand. 7.Lunch is usualy more casual. Dinner is generally more formal. If it is between a man and a woman, it could also be viewed as a "date". Usually, under business settings, a dinner invitation also infers high regards. Bowing and hand shaking is the most common way of greeting. Other types of greeting may be patting on the back or a hug. For a more formal setting the best bet is to go with hand shaking or bowing. 相關詞: taiwan yes, taiwan mobile, taiwan news, made in taiwan, taiwan touch your heart, taiwan top, taiwan moto, taiwan entertainment, taiwan province, taiwan up Taiwan, business meals,Business EtiquetteBusiness, greetings, any other countries,Oolong tea, good gifts, colleague, home decoration, greeting[ 快速連結 ] 其它回答( 0 ) | 意見( 0 ) | 評論( 0 ) . .
